iyi de hocam.wrong iki anlama da geliyo.birincisi kötü ikincisi ise yanlış.Hangi tarafa çekersen orası doğru.

Agree. The art of translation is understanding each language so well you know which of the multiple meanings to use.
e.g. çevirme: rotation and translation.
Piliç çevirme is not Chicken Translation! It is chicken on a spit.

Chicken translation is the name I now use for translations where the person has just looked the word up in the dictionary and chose the wrong one!
My favourite example you see many places:
KEndin pişir kendin ye:
Sign by the road where they have a barbecue where you chose your own meat and cook it yourself.
MORE OFTEN THAN NOT the English sign says "Cook yourself, eat yourself".
Now... that is an alternative on the comment "they are all cannibals"!
