Quoting AEnigma III: Handsom, rightly or wrongly, the UK population rises at a staggering 500 people A DAY!
Are you suggesting we make that figure higher? We are a VERY SMALL COUNTRY!!!! |
AEnigma, you dont have to be treated like a visa applicant is treated to understand that treatment is WRONG.
I dont want to say anything about 500 people a DAY! or making the figure higher or you are already a small country.
Can all those justify the mistreatment?

Quoting AEnigma III: Quoting Elisabeth: There is that "make the world England" thing you tried a while back....HUMMMMM...but it seems that you can't make England English right now...right, bad idea! |
Nobody is trying to make England English! We have a huge number of legal immigrants and are already a hugely multicultural society. I can assure you that immigration to the US is much tougher... |
You are right it is very difficult to get to the US and it isn't over when you get here. You have to constantly file paperwork and be at the beck and call of Homeland Security. At times I have hated the process but I also see it's necessity. (I was only teasing you about making England English )

And everybody, who had the experience, is talking about very unkind treatment there.
|
imagine the flood of immigration if they start treating good and granting visa to everyone
as aenigma have already said: they see those dudus everyday, and are possibly fed up. |
You are mixing it up. 'treating good' and 'granting visa' are completely different things. phew!!

Phew! I'm so glad. It was quite funny when there were demonstrations some time ago of illegal immigrants against tougher laws on illegal immigration and I think they got their way!!! (if someone knows more about it, please share)

I can't even begin to tell you how hard it was to bring my husband here and we are still having to do paperwork all the time. My life was put under a microscope! I do have to say that neither one of us have been treated badly or disrespectfully, so we have something to be grateful for.

I agree with handsome on this one. If the british immigration law really served the purpose there wouldn't be the quoted 500 people coming every day. Why is there so much illegal immigration of people who are likely to be criminals but legal immigrants are treated like terrorists? Seems like the government is punishing on the wrong people... as always!!!!!

Quoting AEnigma III: Repeat again, do you think it is OK that a small country like the UK has an increase in population of 500 people every day? |
I have different perspective about about the whole immigration issue to be honest. my personal opinion 500*360=180.000 /year.
I would not worry about it too much.

treating good means granting visa? phew!!
|
why do people expect of being treated good? why do you expect life being good or easy? when you apply to places like UK or USA you should have been aware of all that harsh treatment! why do you moan about that?
what did you expect from them? that they would stroke on your head serve you coffee and express their happiness homing a handsome turk?
put yourself into their shoes. if theres an immgration flood into my country i would definetly be not happy.
i am not justifying the mistreatment, but you are an adult not mamas boy, to understand it.

Kitty! The situation is even worse in the US!!!! Unfortunately, unless we stop giving out tourist visas, there is very little anyone can do to stop someone "disappearing" in that country. Unless you increase the immigration staff to a few million !!!!
They are not punishing the wrong people. All immigrants go through the same system. Unfortunately there is JUST NO WAY to prevent illegal immigration though.
