Have you read about the questions will be asked to the people especially to the woman in europa??
it sounded so weird to me?
an example to the questions:
"when did you have your first relation without marriage?"
doesnt it digging peoples privacy?
the reason of these questions was said like they need all these infos for future politics they will apply by Europenean Comission.

what i like about statistics is: let's say there is a chicken on average per family per week; it really means that some families eat two chickens per week, while some eat none.
Hope this is related to the topic... or at least to the outcomes of the census

This will explain more what happened with the question: what they actually want to know is whether people have had a relationship outside of marriage not exactly about sexual partners, rather unmarried relationships, although the wording they chose is completely ridiculous !!!!
Maybe they actually want to know because of STD's in European society and hence medical needs in Europe, perhaps they want to know because they want to change health education issues in schools .... there could be so many questions.... I suppose a Census is meant to see the changes in society and behaviour in order to understand our world better.... who knows !!!!!!!!!!!
Have a nice day.

Cacik is correct - the question was SUPPOSED to ask co-habitees "when did you start living together". This question, and a few others, were incorrectly translated and as a result the census organisers are having to re-print all the English questions!!!
What a waste of money
(However, I don't think the census itself is a waste of time or money - these things are a fascinating way of recording changes in social history)
