He borned in Erzurum,Aşkale in 1945..He started to play the stringed instrument(in Turkish saz) from his chidhood..He came to İstanbul and met with Nida Tüfekçi who was his music teacher and Arif Sağ achieved to constitute his musical substructure..60’s and 70’s were seeking years in music for him(and this seeking still goes on nowadays)...In the end of 60’s he started to work for TRT(Turkey Radio and ve Television Association) as Bağlama musician(bağlama,a plucked instrument with three double strings)...Beside to accompany various musicians with his bağlama,his melodies were sing by famous musicians and that music resembles arabesque-fantasy in today’s terminology...He uses local motifs in his melodies too..
He has worked for İTÃœ(İstanbul Technical Universtiy,in music department) for 6 years..After leaving that duty,he has tried to help other musicians about their albums..Also he has approximately 10 albums..Some of them are Series of Muhabbet,Resital 1-2,İnsan Olmmaya Geldim,Halay,Duygular Dönüştü Söze....He rules bağlama technical and also repertoire,feeling aspects too...
