"soğumak" means "go off"?
if this is right, your translation is good. Poor me, I don't know the meaning yet

or maybe the last sentence:
... I always appreciated you but the reason why I went off is that you were not with me/near me

hey calip,
the dictionary lists one of the meanings of "soğumak" is "to go off (someone or something)"...
i think you're translation of the 2nd part of the sentence makes more sense though.
