Quick question - I'm sending a birthday present to my Turkish Anne by Federal Express. Anyone know if FEDEX will be delivering during Kurban Bayramin?
p.s. Is it correct to wish her "Kurban Bayramin Mubarek Olsun"?
Thanks in advance!

Fed Ex will deliver it to the Istanbul office but if it arrives on the holiday, it will probably not get much further until after the holiday. I tried sending a package last year during the holiday and I tracked it to Istanbul and it stayed there for days until after the holiday was over.

Oh, that's very disappointing...
The only reason I paid extra for FEDEX was so that she'll receive the present ON her birthday!
But, thank you, Elisabeth!

You're welcome. I know how frustrating it can be to get things mailed to Turkey. Seems like there is some kind of black hole things go thru before they get to the person you are sending too. It is very frustrating...at least it was for me. Perhaps you will get lucky and it will get there on the 19th, before the holiday.

Unfortunately, she won't get her birthday present until the 26th!!!
There is no delivery service on Thursday & Friday this week due to Kurban Bayrami; and not early next week either because of Christmas!
I would've sent it earlier if I knew that...
