rather "a la turka")), this music is lautareasca, with turkish and folk inflexions. the name is coming from lautar, a musician who plays at a stringed instrument. taraf de lautari is a group of musicians (lautari), frequently gipsies.
oh, and haidouks were, among others, free men living in forests helping the poor...
