He left the Middle East for America when almost a teenager where he pursued his dreams and his talents discovered. He is buried in a monastry in the country of his birth. He is said to be one of the most quoted persons at special occassions. Who is he? |
Khalil Gibran ftw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khalil_Gibran |
Bugger that Dedidolu. I hate you now. Anyway its your turn now
I love KG's stuff. Especially this piece of writing.
Love one another, but make not a bond of love
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each other's cup, but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread, but eat not from the same loaf.
Sing and dance together and be joyous,
but let each one of you be alone,
Even as the strings of a lute are alone
though they quiver with the same music.
Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping;
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together yet not too near together;
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
- From The Prophet

This site is related to Turkey and, at the very least, your post should have mentioned something about the subject in the context of Turkish films...
