Help from the more learned TC friends is appreciated. I have put what I believe it to be, but the word sevgime is confusing me. I know sevgi=love is the me ending a negative?

benim sevgime ihtiyacım var - I need my love or to my love I need

Quoting Nisreen:

I need my love

Nisreen so the me one the end of sevgime is NOT a negative?

ihtiyaç means need.

The word before takes -e or -a

Ona ihtiyacım var: I need him/her

Suya ihtiyacı var: It needs water

etc etc

I am wondering if the sentence has a typo. It seems odd to say I need my love.

Sevgime ihtiyacı var: he/she needs my love
Or
Sevgine ihtiyacım var: I need your love

Makes more sense.

WDYT?

it is quite possible, I am better but if it was a typo then that would confuse me .. lol .. So you are correct it is very possible and it does make more sense.
