So here we go again, yet another collection for Africa.Me thinks, however that we have enough poverty and homelessness within our own extended European union...opinions please.Each day, we watch the news, and see yet another civil war erupts in Africa.I watch very closely the news within Europe,and tire when i see the frustrated sights of our poor nations.Fair enough, it is a publicity scam by most at Live 8, but why don't they do something for the poor,in say Uzbeckistan or the like.I have introduced this topic, to try and get opinions flaring.

There is a difference between poverty in Africa and poverty in Europe or in somewhat better off places of the world. Many people in Africa are literally dying of hunger. That is, because of lack of nutrition. If you are poor in Europe, you might have problems about health care, education, poor life standards etc. but you definitely won't die because you don't have enough food to eat for staying alive. Of course poverty must be fought against everywhere in the world, but there are people more in need of help compared to others. I strongly support such actions taken for helping poverty in Africa although I can't say that I do enough myself
