I think it's OK here. The human ego is very fragile. The plight of the immigrant is often very sad. With the general alienation of being an immigrant, add the turmoil of youth and loss of hope and a pending disaster looms.

It just shows one that kindness and compassion are always in order. Who knows what unkind words and mean looks these desperate young men had been subjected to.

So sad, so very very tragic...May their souls be granted mercy and may they rest and peace.

Coming from a family of immigrants, I understand how difficult going to another country must be. My own husband is an immigrant but somewhere inside you must know that not everyone will be kind to you. You must know that it will not be easy. It seems a superficial reason to blame it on his immigration. I wonder if there was some underlying mental illness that was perpetuated by the stress of being an immigrant.

In any case, it seems sad and senseless.

My parents and I were immigrants once upon a time. We had money at the time, I cant imagine how difficult it would be without money. I salute all people who take risks for a better life.
