Does cumhuriyet devrinde mean the period when the republic was founded? Or just 'republic period'?

Yes, but here is how I got puzzled:
Cumhuriyet Devrinde Türk Dilinin Kültürümüzdeki Yeri.
- The place of the Turkish Language in our culture during the period of the Republic.
Now this doesnt make much sense to me since:
1 - There was no Turkish language BEFORE the republic, so there is no need to speak of the language during the republic
2 - The republic is still going on, but the text mainly refers to the times of the reforms, so one would think merely the emerge of the republic is meant?
Since when do you speak turkish so well catwoman

You are confused about devrim and devir. Devir means cycle itself. That is not related to devirmek verb
... Devri means the period, but "devrim" has an M

Yes  Last night in a 'sadness stress attack' I made Kadir wake up to help me out, to only come to the conclusion I had mixed them up
So the correct translation would just be in the period of the republic?
