Accomodation in Hatay?

Hi,
we are invited to a wedding in Harbiye (Hatay) in July. We would very much like to combine it with a beach holiday around there. Now I have read that Samandag and Cevlik, the two closest beaches, are not recommended because of waste and pollution.
The beach at Meydan is supposed to be very nice, but it is impossible to find much about it on the net, not to speak of any accomodation there.
Another possible beach place to stay would be in or around Arsuz, where there is supposed to be many guesthouses, hotels, etc. But again not much to be found on the net.
We are 6 adults and 2 small children and we are looking for a pension, guesthouse, hotel, motel, anything affordable. The beach should be sandy because of the children.
Does anybody now a place they can recommend in the above mentioned areas (or any other close beach place that I haven't heard of yet)? I am very grateful for any tips,
Thanx,
Mata

My friend Pat Yale (who wrote a lot of Lonely Planet) writes this about Hatay: Hatay Province and Daphne

hi.
you are probably going to Harbiye - Dafne, close to Antakya (Hatay). It is the place where Apollo turned Dafne into a Laurel.
If so, i think it would be a good choice to Ulucinar (Arsuz) - south to Iskenderun - the links i found say it is a small village, with good beaches.
Here is a link in which you will find some infos about Ulucinar(Arsuz)(in case you looked up only Arsuz .
link
Not much of a recommendation for a place to stay, but i hope it is a good starting/continuing point.
