Is it possible to buy a ticket for a domestic flight in Turkey (İstanbul-İzmir) at the airport the same day?
I mean, do you really have to book online, or could I try my luck at a desk there too?
Approximalte yhwat are the prices?

you dont have to book online, if the airway agency you choosed has a ticket agency in the airport then you can buy it there, all the airway agencies have brunches in the cities so you can look for it on the net and find the nearest one of them.

Ok thank you very much both!
Im not sure whether or when I will go, and Im not fond of flying so I always take the bus.. but since I would be going for just a few days, it would be a waste of time to sit in a bus for 10 hours..
Anyway I would like to keep options open so Ill look at it when Im at the airport. Thanks a lot!

Either you have to book waaay early or at the very last minute if you want to get a cheap flight.
Last time I booked from Van to Istanbul and the price went up like 40-50 ytl in just five minutes! We had decided on buying the tickets at the "lower" price, then the woman at the agency answered her phone and when she was done and went to the booking page (which is just the regular internet site that anyone can access anyway) the price went flying ALso you have to pay the "service charge" whether you get any "service" or not :banghead:
Sometimes Sunexpress has special cheap rates to selected destinations for 29 YTL, maybe you will get lucky

Which companies offer Yurt içi flights in Turkey? I have looked for THY and Pegasus but I'd like to find some more. Does anybody know about Pegasus?
They dont have that many options, so Id like to check some more companies. Once again I am flying to Istanbul, and this time Id prefer to enter a plane instead of 10 hours in the bus again.. (and 2 years ago I was nervous to fly at least 2 weeks in advance )

Hi
Try Turkish Airlines
Pegasus
Atlas Jet
As the others have said, the prices are cheaper the earlier you book, unless you get a standby ticket at the last minute.
