The word Olmak for example.

Oldu means done (correct?) but if I say Olmadi does it mean "not done", or "done like never before"?

For example if I say there was a "flood and great damege olmadi" does that mean "no" damage was done or does it mean Damage like never before!!

Thanks

olmadı means not done, not happened, or sort of made 'made real, it doesn't not mean "like never before".

The form oldurdı means 'caused to have happend' somewhat like you second speculation.
