There is a reference to huzun in this article and I remember reading about this in Orhan Pamuk's book about his upbringing in Istanbul. I can't say I enjoyed his book very much. I've bought 3 of his novels and hope I'll find those a better read.

If I disliked 3 books by an author, I don't think I would risk a 4th 
Edit: I mis-read, but I still dont think I would buy three books by an author that I disliked

I got them all at the same time. I'm hoping the 3 novels will be different as they are a different genre to his book about Istanbul. He's such a controversial author I want to read him. I can't dismiss him because of one book. When I'll get round to reading them is another matter.
