After a series of fires, especially in housing appartments used by Turkish immigrants, which killed tens of Turks (mostly old men, women and children), the German police finally said there may be a racist twist in the whole affair. Whether they meant the Turks or Germans were the racists was uncertain.

I find this strange:

:On the wall next to the entrance to a ground-floor Turkish cultural center in the building the German word “hass,” meaning “hate”, was written. The letters “ss” were written in the Nazi “SS” rune script, reminding of the racists attacks which occurred in Germany in the 1990s.

However police determined that the graffiti were there before the Sunday fire thus showing that the two were not related."

I would not consider them unrelated. In my experience, marking things is a way to indicate they need to be followed up on. Aren't lambs marked for sacrafice?

I think you misunderstood me. I meant that I dont think there is any question about it - it was definitely a racial attack.

Norwegian Labor Minister is in Ankara today, checking possibilty of getting 100 000 qualified immigrants to Norway, from Turkia.

First thing he said on his TV interview was "My God, Ankara is almost as cold as Oslo...."

He must be reading German/Austrian papers. Interested in an easy way to warm Oslo?

On a second thought, the Minister may have seen the picture posted by Roswitha yesterday.
I understand Norway has a very old population...
