Quoting AEnigma III: Why does it bother you or create more work for the mods?
We have been having fun posting pics lately, which is why the go and come back. Anyway, have removed the "offensive" photo for you Cat. |
I was just kind of surprised that you were validating the same sickening, conventional, patriarchal female beauty ideals - wide hips, big breasts, thin waist, scantily clad.... - kind of didn't fit your image... :-S

Actually it is a painting by artist Phillipe Dediot called "aenigma" and I think she is very strong looking and powerful as well as feminine. She was not big breasted actually.
I dont mind "validating" such art. I am not an extreme feminist and I only object to porn.
Anyway, I have removed my "offensive" picture.

Yeah, I know that it's a painting, and I simply said what I think about it. It doesn't look powerful or strong to me, but it doesn't matter. I don't care how women look, they can be thin-waisted or thick-waisted, it's just that validating the first one as superior to the second one is a pornography created ideal of female beauty (at least the current version of it).
Btw, it's really not a great idea to create divisions among feminists and stand against each other...

Perhaps you should inform TC Members of what is permissible for their pictures - bikinis and beach photos ok.... art offensive.

It seems that you took it personally or sth. Yeah, bikinis are against TC rules, but I commented about your picture only because I was a bit surprised to see it from YOU. I'm not saying that I'm necessarily always right, I just stated my opinion, you can respond to it and who knows - I may change my mind and agree with you.

I am interested in the opinions of others that my picture is pornographic.

Hahahah, I didn't say that your picture is pornographic! Anyways, go ahead and get the pat on the back from handsom, who surely challenges the mysogynistic ideals of female beauty!

Is it supposed to be pornographic because of the little triangle shaped bump?
