Thanks Yes he already did. I shall also ask him for a copy of his passport, though that sounds pretty useless without him to show it is him Anyway, thanks for all the tips!

I had a similar problem recently when I booked a flight for myself through Opodo and then a couple of days later I booked tickets for my children to fly out a few days later. I had the same problem as on both e-tickets it was asking for ID confirmation of my credit card. I telephoned them to explain the problem and they simply changed my children's confrimation to their passport numbers.

I have had this problem also with the credit card holder not being at the airport with me.It was such a pain because i found a flight that was perfect on the THY website and then read that the card needed to be presented at time of check in but as it wasnt my card and the card holder couldnt be there i had to book through expedia, which was more expensive.grr how annoying! Its so silly why do they need the card, maybe they have been having problems with people using stolen cards or something, don't know. You definately need to ring them though as peace train as suggested.

I have bought tickets for my husband and he for me and we were never asked for the card. Perhaps some airlines do not verify payment until you get to the airport and only use the credit card to hold the seat. You might want to call the credit card company to see if the transaction went thru already. If it did not, perhaps you can just pay in cash at the airport.
Good luck!!

With THY I used my visa debit card instead of credit card. each of the 4 times the money was debited to my bank account immediately and each time at check in they demanded to see the card used for the transaction.
However, I think there have been some good solutions posted here, especially changing the check-in requirement, from payment card to traveller's passport. Safest course of action would be to telephone the airline, and make sure you get the name of the person you speak to. Once changed they will send new documents via email, with check in requirements detailed therein.
Again . . Good luck!

I can't really comment on THY..however, every airline I have traveled with requires proof of identity. They could careless who bought the ticket as long as your name is issued as the traveler on the ticket and you can show proof of identity.
If you have an eticket, I don't know why you would have to show your form of payment. This really doesn't make sense with the hundreds of thousands that travel each day. I know personally the company I work for makes the travel arrangements and gets billed directly..This would be such a hassle. I even have booked trips for my friends and myself using just my card. No problems ever.

Yes, exactly my thoughts. Actually, like they care who pays, as long as it is paid.. Anyway I'll call, write down the name of who helps me, and at the aiport I will just say that that person told me all is allright
