 Thanks for your neo-nazi fascist "advice" Meltem {#lang_emotions_you_crazy}

I am sorry you were slapped, but you are just as likely to be assulted by someone who is not brain damaged or mentally ill...

Sorry, but no need for any humanitarian feelings now. I don´t think that you have the same chances to get attacked by anyone. I was just in the bus doing nothing, it was the first time I saw him in my life, and suddenly he hit me. Do you still think that my chances are the same to be assaluted by anyone in this case? And in my life I was assaulted seriously 2 times, and it was a mentally ill woman in the street as well.

I don´t say anything against any mentally ill people, not every mentally ill person is dangerous. In fact it depends on the type of illness. Retarded or down sendromed people are different, you can tell the difference, but as I´m not a doctor I don´t know exactly what was wrong with him, I think he might have a serious untreated schizophrene.

And you take my advice or not, it´s your problem. If a person is so mentally ill, he/she should not be around but in the hospital. A few weeks ago, a young boy in France was stabbed and killed for nothing by a mentally ill person passing by on the street.

Do you mean by mentally ill, psychiatric or retarded (like Down´s Syndrom)? If the latter, I have a problem of staying away, about 20% of my students is retarded!

the word retarted sounds harsh to me. those are not guilty for their health conditions. or this word is suitable?

but being honest, if someone suddenly slaps me onto face, i would be deeply shocked. however, i would recognize if the person is of that condition or a chooligan, somehow. and i would go home to cry my pillow out.

 Does ´mentally handicapped´ sound better?

Just the kind of reply I expect to see from someone as fascist as you...who experiments on her pets!!!

Ahh Ms Doctor, since when has the word "retarded" carried any medical definition?  Your advice to stay away from all mentally ill people, not help them, and...that they should be locked up to keep you safe, is vile.  My father is brain damaged from a brain haemorrhage, my friend´s child has a rare disorder which means she is unable to walk or speak properly... I would like to thank you for telling people to stay away from them if they need help.  Neither would ever harm anyone.

Anyway Doctor, check your crime statistics in France, and see if more people are injured by mentally handicapped people then "normal" people like you - you may be surprised.  I agree that people with dangerous mental illness where they harm others should be hospitalised and treated, but don´t include all your fascist spew to cover all mentally ill people.

I´m really shocked to see how you understand my words. I´m not going to prove you something because you already labelled me as fascist. I don´t care.

I was not referring to mentally handicapped people. I did made the difference between them and mentally ill people who gives damage to their surrounding.

I´m already enough shocked about what I experienced, I hope no one experiences it, but as well precautions are taken.

I´m feeling quite bad, depressed, shocked and all... About 2 hours ago, a mentally ill man slapped me on the face!!! I didn´t do anything nor talked to him. I went to the police tu sue him because I think he is dangerous and should not be out, he should be in a hospital. However, in the police they told me to get a certificate from a doctor. In my city, there are caneras in the buses, so I told them why I needed it, and why even the fact that he hit me cannot be enough. They told me that even if there was no mark on my face, it was the procedure. I went to the clinic, but then turned back because there were so many people waiting there and I needed to wait hours.

What an afternoon, now I will always fear from people around thanks to this man!

Ãm sorry mltm for your incident

Ýts shocking and hard and you just think what on earth is going on, that is not happening in real !

That is not happening to me!

Ý understand what you mean by staying away from any suspicious people, you wouldnt exactly know what there action or reaction would be.

Ý wish you get over it .

I´m really sorry for you Meltem, I´m not surprised you were shocked. If I was in your place I would probably kick that guy right into his private parts (but I´m a tad aggressive). I didn´t read your comment as facist, I agree that people who have mental condition resulting in being danger to other people or to themselves should be isolated in institutions or should gon out only with supervision

What an unfortunate situation! When I lived in New York City that was a real problem. One time I was on the subway when a man got on with a large butcher knife. He was wandering the train with it in his hands. All the passengers acted like nothing odd was going on, but at the next stop everyone got off the train.

There was an incident on the Statin Island Ferry where a man stabbed about 7 people.  As it turned out, he was a schitzophrenic man.

My advice, be aware of your surroundings and be very careful about letting anyone get close enough to you to grab or strike you.

mltm, sorry to hear about your bus incident. Thank goodness it wasnt worse.

Lately in France we hear of many similar incidents.

Since "Sarko" took office we often hear about mentally handicapped fleeing psychiatric centers either brutality attacking  the nurses or civilians on the street.

The medical personnel is blaming the government for downsizing due to budget cuts.

With low number of personnel no wonder they are not able to properly take care of the patients. The same budget cuts are applied in the educational field.

"La France va mal, très mal"

Thanks CANLI, Daydreamer, alameda, and cedars for your support and good wishes.

Hopefully, it was not worse.

cedars, you are right about it. Since I´m in France which is over 2 years, I have been hearing alot of incidents like that including pedophile cases. I didn´t know that it was because of Sarko´s politics. It´s horrible. This issue should be dealt as quickly as possible. You cannot play with people´s security because of some economic worries.
