Hi everybody, I'm new here and new to learning Turkish! Could someone have a look at this small sentence and check its right - including word order.

şimdi Lisa görmek gidiyorum.

Thanks very much, this is such a great site, I'm so glad I found it!

I think you need to put the noun into the dative state to match the verb 'gidiyorum'.

şimdi Lisa'ya görmek gidiyorum

Also I am not sure you can use the master hali form of görmek with the verb gitmek - but I get very confused as to when the infinitive can be used and when it can't :-S

This thread might help you with this......

another learner here. Should'nt Lisa come first in the sentence with the definite object suffix.
Lisa'yı görmek şimdi gidiyorum.

I think you want to say "I'm going to see Lisa, now"

Şimdi Lisa'yı görmeye gidiyorum.

"-i görmek", you will see Lisa, Lisa is the object, so Lisa'yı görmek

and you put -e suffix, the direction.

If you need more explanation, let us know.
