In some cities like in İskenderun there are lots of citizens with Arabic background and they have of course relatives in neighbour countries that visit them. They still keep their traditionas alive. Turks are used to lie togethet with different cultures. There might be some Iranians living in the South regions as well.

When I think about Iranians in Turkia the first thing that comes to my mind are tourists who enjoy the freedom during their holiday in Turkia. Obviously their home country is uncomparably strict on almost every issue you can imagine so no wonder that some of them like Turkia. Of course some of them also hate Turkia as we are a thread and a living alternatieve to their Islamic Republic.

I guess Turkia becomes a more popular place for Iranian tourists with time. In a touristic country like Turkia it is really not so important where the foreigners have come from. Either from the USA, EU or from Asian, it doesnt really matter.

Do you think that we hate Arabs, İranians or the Greek? Not at all. They all would feel welcome when visiting Turkia. In fact all of them would find a part from their own culture on these lands.

Well, Greeks think that you DO hate them, but they quit this belief, as soon as they visit Turkey. And it's not their fault you know. It's something they have been tought, something they were raised up with. And our "lovely" politicians are responsible for that most of all.

I have always been wondering why Greeks are not tought to hate Germans or Italians. They attacked our country too. And their attacks were most recent. It's a great question of mine, why do Greeks forget their recent past, but they are still stuck to what happened centuries ago.

Probably cause they have no reason to fear Germany or Italy now. But Turkey is a big force, which the EU could not tam yet. And fear brings hate.

Anyway, things are changing in a speedy rhythm and I m glad to see that people here are seeing Turks with a different eye now. And i wish for best days to come for the two countries.

Yes, that's exactly what I m saying. That although you don't hate us and most of us don't hate you too, there is a general idea here (and probably there as well) that we should hate or that we do hate eachother.

I guess that suits some people out there. There must be a reason why they provoke such impressions. But this is a political subject and i have no intention to analyze it.

What I know, is that we, simple ordinary people, have nothing to seperate but a world of things to share...

This reminds me of something. I read once that the Camel cigarettes that are sold in Greece don't have the "Finest blend of American and Turkish tobaccoes" line on them. The word "Turkish" was omitted, because Greeks wouldn't like it.
Is this true? When I read it, it sounded a bit like an urban myth to me.

I haven't heard that before, but it wouldn't surprise me if it has happened. Actually, things have began to change here the last couple of years. And nowadays, everything turkish is a fashion in Greece. Even a turkish tv series is the most popular in Greek tv. Turkish singers, turkish clubs, turkish cuisine, everything is highly recommended and preferable.
I don't like this hysteria either, but i prefer it from the hate that was blinding Greeks before these last couple of years.
