Hayatta kimseye yük olmamak,kendi emeğiyle geçinmek,harama el uzatmammak ve adaletli olmak onun en önemli ilkeleridir.Yseyi^ye göre,kadının eğitimi erkeğin eğitimi kadar önemlidir.Yesevi^den etkilenen Yunus da "Ilme ettim talep, illa edep,illa edep".diyerek edebin önemini göstermiştir.Nitekim Mevlana da bu konuda onlarla aynı fikirdedir:
"Adamoğlunun eğer edepten nasibi yoksa adem değildir.
Ademoğluyla hayvav arasındaki fark edeptir,
Gözünü aç da bak cümle Kelamullah^a
Kur`an`ın bütün ayetlerinin manası edepten ibarettir".

The most important principles in life are not to be a burden on anyone else, to get by with your own effort, not to touch the things that are forbidden, and to be just. Accoring to Yseyi, the education of a woman is as important as the educatin of a man. Yunus, who was influenced by Yesevi, said "I asked science, manners above all, manners above all" and thereby underlined the importance of manners. In short Mevlana agreed with him on this subject:
"If a man does not have good manners he is not a man.
The difference between a man and an animal is manners.
Open your eyes and look at the Word of Allah
All of the verses of the Koran speak of manners."
