Kadýköy, where one of the first settlement areas in Istanbul is located (Fikirtepe region), is one of the sight seeing areas in Istanbul whose beaches and shores are subject for the songs and films and many poems were written during the history due to its natural beauty.
Kuþdili, Haydarpaþa and Yoðurçu Çayýrý, Kalamýþ Moda and Fenerbahçe shore are the major sightseeing areas reflecting the beauty of Kadýköy.
Kadýköy basin having 68 creeks such as Tugay, Kör, Esenyurt, Kurbaðlýdere, Küçükyalý, Ãdealtepe, Çamaþýrcý, Turþucu and Seyit Ahmet, has started to loose its beauty due to the ignored investments for very long years and unplanned restructuring.

I have to say, I love the way they have improved the waterfront area in Kadikoy the last few years. Hopefully the government can start dealing with the dirty water ways that flow into the Marmara.
