Merhaba! I am back again, begging for more help.
Please, efendim, could you comment which of the two is more appropriate translation from E>T:-
> "I wanted to visit the place where I could get suitable treatment for my illness". <
1. Hastalığım için uygun tedavi görebileceğim yeri ziyaret etmek istedim.
2. Hastalığım için uygun tedavi alabileçeğim yeri ziyaret etmek istedim.
I was translating from an exercise. The answers given specified No.1! My translation E>T is No.2.
Teşekkur ederim.

tedavi görmek = to get treatment, to be treated
tedavi olmak = to be treated, undergo treatment
tedavi etmek = to treat (as a doctor yani)
I dont think tedavi almak exists

Thanks deli_kizin
Obviously my English and Urdu frame of mind is vitiating my thought process and making me invent new Turkish vocabulary.
Anladim.

It's very normal I do the same, but I should replace Urdu for Dutch

Hi deli_kizin
in confirmation of your correction, to day [accidentally], I came accross a note regarding this 'special' usage of 'görmek'. I thought that görmek only meant 'to see' >> but in special cases [like you point out] it ALSO means to RECEIVE; to UNDERGO!
I live and learn.
You teach me Dutch, I'll teach you Urdu.
Thanks.
