In a book, purporting to be a self teacher of Turkish, I have come accross a phrase which, although, I can guess what it may mean but can not find it anywhere ... even on-line! Please can someone confirm if it is peculiar to colloquial Turkish?

"Sonsuzluğa kadar seninim" !!!

Is this an accepted way of expressing, 'You are eternally mine'? [senin-im or what?]

[I would only wish to inflict Colloquial Turkish (by Yusuf Mardin) upon my worst enemy] ... it is excellent for those who know a lot of Turkish already > but then they would not need it. Değil mi?

I must admit it does have some good stories for improving reading comprehension. That is about all. It is thin on support and at various places, it contains tortuous verbal explanation of gramatical construction -- without even a single example to illustrate the point to an idiot like me.

I am sorry to vent my spleen -- but I wish to warn other members. I am determined to read every word of this book >>> and then throw it away ... better still set fire to it and get my money back in the form of heat.

I would be terminally frustrated except for your help, from time to time.

I prefer "sabahlara dek" - it is long enough

PS. I meant to explain sonsuzluğa

Son= end
Sonsuz = without end
Sonsuzluk= lit: the thing without end i.e. eternity
Sonsuzluğa = to eternity, until eternity

I agree Turkish is a beautiful language [otherwise I would not be studying it] ... and this a beautiful expression >> my fraustration was caused by the Book [quite expensive] yet so difficient in presentation and preparation of vocabulary that a beginner struggles.

AS AS BEGINNER, PLEASE BEWARE OF 'COLLOQUIAL TURKISH' BY YUSUF MARDIN. Although it is full of information, but totally unsuited for a beginner due to lack of forethought, support and bad presentation by the author.
