ÇOK UZUN BİR GÃœNDÃœ AŞKA DÖNÃœYORUM

Çok uzun bir gündü aşka dönüyordum
Çok uzun, yavrum, çok uzun seni sevmekten
İşte diyordum ilk öpüş işte masmavi yarığın
İşte yedisi sabahın ve ıslak ağzının
İşte eski bir otu kasıklarının ve karnının
İşte dilinin getirdikleri işte ormanlarım
İşte döşekte çırılçıplak upuzun uyanışın
İşte kayaya vuran eski gölgen eski sesin
İşte o ağzındaki esmer kuş o yaban ırmak
Kal öyle diyordum böyle anadan doğma iç içe
Kal öyle ilkin orandan öpeceğim diyordum
Aşk ki karadır tek heceli bir sözcüktür
İşte tam böyle, sevdalım, tam böyle diyordum.

IT WAS A REALLY LONG DAY i WAS TURNING TO LOVE

It was a really long day I was turning to love
so long, baby, so long because of your love
here I was saying, first kiss, here is your blue crevice
here is seven in the morning and your wet mouth
here is the grass from your groin and your belly
here is what your tongue brought and here is my forrest
here is you waking up from bed stretched and nude
here is your old shadow on the rock and your old voice
here is the black bird in your mouth that is a wild river
I was saying stay as you are, like this, in the nude, one within
I was saying stay as you are, I would kiss you from there first
though love is dark and a word with one syllable
It is just like that, my love, just like that, I was saying

my try

Another gem thehansom but I dont think the "blue crevice" sounds quite right! It takes away the sensuality of the poem. If he is refering to her mouth, there must be a better translation. Sadly my Turkish is limited to asking for a beer

Well - 'masmavi' translates as 'deep blue' and I don't think he was referring to her mouth!

The poet is really talking about a woman? Maybe he is talking about a beautiful landscape familiar and beloved for him.. What do u call it? A metaphore?
