How does Turkish with an American Accent Sound

Can anyone give examples of perhaps music performers or actors that speak Turkish that sounds "American".

For example, I have all of the Pamela Spence music CDs and one of her movies. Her Turkish is a little different than for example Özlem Tekin.

Thanks.

Thats easy....Sounds like me unfortunately.
I would equate it to a Swedish hockey player speaking English.
My ex was a german born turk and moved back to turkey after 16 years. Even in her late 30's, her turkish was still with a german accent.
Accents are difficult to lose...

Nothing personal Keith here but I think American or British accent on Turkish most of the time sounds really bad .

The worst, for me, is pronunciation of places like Bodrum and Trabzon.

My American friends make the latter sound like it rhymes with Boyzone.

Funny story:

When my daughter ın law was learnıng Turkısh, she engaged a language coach from Trapzone. So when she spoke Turkish in Istanbul it was a "double Whammy", 1 she was a novice and 2) she had copied that "weird accent".

And you've helped explain.

The Americans round here always refer to 'Bode-rum' - doesn't matter how many times they hear 'Bodrum' back!

My accent is very comparable to John Wayne, except of course I'm female.....lol
Yes, it's different. My friend begs me to speak Turkish to him always and he laughs and laughs. All in good fun though. I read it far better than I speak or write it no doubt.
