OK.. a huge favour.. and its urgent!!
By now, im sure that everyone has seen a few of the lessons on the "learn turkish" section of the site... although the lessons there are only for beginners.. there are then only a couple of lessons for the more advanced students of turkish.
What are the chances that some more lessons would be able to be posted here??
As some of you may already know from another thread of mine, i have a GCSE exam in turkish and i need all the help which i can get before that time.
Im not asking just one person to help me either, i think that if several of you talented members could give me a few lessons i could actually learn the rest of the language in about a month!!
Im really serious about this you know and would greatly appreciate any help which you can give me...
Im not sure when my exam is going to be although i know it will be in the next few months.. i also will be going to turkey again this summer and my turkish really has to be better..!! Im nearly begging, look!!
I think that a way which we can test which lessons i need would be if someone posts a paragraph in english or turkish and then leave it for me to translate. We could then see whereabouts i go wrong and need help.
I really hope this doesnt seem to much of a big favour because i really have faith in all you great people to help me with this. To know Turkish fluently is a main dream of mine and at the moment and you guys are the only people who can help me fulfill it!
If anyone actually helps me with this, please know that your help is appreciated more than i can put into words (English or Turkish!! hehe)... Thank you xXx
oh yeah.. id also like to add that im sure this would be beneficial to lots of members and not just me!! (more reasons to help, see?)

PLEASE CAN WE CARRY ON FROM HERE...
Quoting miss_ceyda: Quoting mltm: Because of the request from Miss_Ceyda, I offer you a small text to be translated. I wish you success

THANKS!!
"he often said to his friends in the bank, "in my opinion this isnt life... i want to be a writer" i cant write about what happens in the bank can i? i need to see life. i need to go to other countried and mix with their people. then, i'll be able to write books about them.
everyone is gonna read my books and when they see me in the street they are gonna say, "look, this is that famous writer, robert leroy!"
his friends in the bak were also calling him like this.
"writer robert".. this was making everyone laugh, apart from robert. it was making him angry a bit." |

Hello!
I am a beginner at this but I have found it interesting and useful to translate the lyrics from Turkish songs.
Get the Turkish lyrics off the internet, translate them yourself and then get the translated lyrics off the internet and compare. You have the added advantage of being able to listen to the song and knowing what it is about.
I did Eskidendi Çok Eskiden by Sezen Aksu becasue I liked the song but couldn/t find the translation anywhere.
