Hi!

I haven't met anyone in Turkey called Neydi, but yours makes much more sense. I wondered who would say "işim neydi?"


In actual fact, to say my name is Neydi they should say
İsmim Neydi.

So, I don't think you're wrong. You could have made a better guess on bad Turkish than I did!

isim neydi is the informal way of asking "what is your name?"
