For 'after coming back' can you say 'döndiktan sonra' ?

For 'after coming back' can you say 'döndiktan sonra' ? |
you are absolutely right on that..
It was me translating it that way..because if it is said 'dönduktan sonra onlari suyun icine koydum' it will be difficult to accomodate 'immediately'.
after coming back should be translated as 'geri geldikten sonra', however, gelir gelmez is fitting the purpose and acommodating 'immediately'.
