When i was in Turkey last week (unfortanetly returned last night  ) I bought an old album by Nilüfer (amazing!) She has a song i love in particular but i don't understand the grammar of its chorus.
I dont understand the following sentence:
Boşvermişim dünyaya, ağlamak istemiyorsan sende boşver dünyaya
If i translate it, I get about the following:
I don't care about the world (I don't make a drama of the world) , if you don't want to cry, you too don't care about the world
Can someone translate it well and tell me how the verb "Boşvermişim" is built up?
How does the word 'boş vermek' translate? My dictionary says "not to make a drama out of something", which i would translate as 'not to give a damn' in daily speech. Would 'boş ver' translate as 'never mind' ?

Boşvermek: not to care about something
boşver + miş + im : verb stem (boşver) + reported past tense suffix (-miş + first person personl suffix (-im)

Using reported past tense for yourself makes it more dramatically talking about the action.
It is a nice song by the way. I like Nilüfer as well. The best songs she song are the old ones mainly when she was working together with the musician and composer Kayahan. Here last albums are just worthless.

Can someone say what tense "boşvermişim" is? Because miş'li zaman sounds more like a past-time to me, so I am eager to learn why it is used in this case.

Just ate baklava while listening Neşet Ertaş, whose album i bought too. I feel like a stranger in my own country now..

And "Tek başına" also, but it makes me cry now. Is Nilüfer famous in Türkiye?

Kadir told me the same when we were in the music-shop. He said I would like her old music, and he was damn right. I bought the 'Geceler' album, which must have been made in the seventies, if i look at the way her hair is on the cover-picture  The album is definitely beautiful!
He also said she doesn't work together with Kayahan anymore, as they have had a fight. I guess that explains her music changed.

Yes she is famous. I mean every person in their 30's would tell you her name when seeing her picture or hearing her song. Of course she isnt as popular as she used to be. Her best song I think is "kar taneleri".
