Hello everyone,
I am needing some useful information I am currently staying in Istanbul with my wife and require some information about renewing my visa. I will need to re-apply for a new visa after my 90 day stay, I do not want to obtain a residence visa as we are both seeing how life will go while I am in Turkey.
I want to obtain another visa after my current one expires another 90 day visa would it be best to just visit Greece or Cyprus and then re-enter Turkey? my wife wants to make a trip also to Greece for a small break but needs a visa which is not worth all the hassle for just a day trip. Please could someone advise me what to do after my 90 day single entry visa expires thanks in advance

This is what most people in this area (Bodrum) do if they don't have a residency permit. They make a day trip to Kos - which is only a few miles away. The Turkish authorities keep saying they are going to clamp down on people doing this but nothing seems to have happened so far. From Istanbul, an option is to go to Bulgaria and deli (who lives in Istanbul) recently did this. But I thought I saw you say you were planning to stay in Istanbul for a year or so - in that case why not just get a one year residency permit? Whatever you decide to do don't wait until your current visa expires though.
