BE THANKFUL FOR ......

The partner who hogs the covers every night,
because he/she is not out with someone else.

The teenager who is not doing dishes but is watching TV,
because that means he/she is at home and not on the streets.

For the taxes that you pay,
because it means that you are employed.

For the mess to clean after a party,
because it means that you have been surrounded by friends.

For the clothes that fit a little too snug,
because it means you have enough to eat.

For my shadow that watches you work,
because it means you are in the sunshine.

For the carpet that needs vacuuming, bathroom that need cleaning, and bedsheets that to be washed, because it means you have a home.

For all the complaining you hear about the government,
because it means that we have freedom of speech.

For the parking spot you found at the far end of the parking lot, because it means you are capable of walking and that you have been blessed with transportation.

For the huge heating bill,
because it means you are warm in winter.

For the lady behind you in church that sings off key,
because it means that you can hear.

For the pile of laundry and ironing, because it means you have clothes to wear.

For weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day,
because it means you have been capable of working hard.

For the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours,
because it means that you are alive.

And finally.......
For too much e-mail,
because it means you have friends who are thinking of you.

hey I agree with the core message there, which is that give thanks for the issues or problems that you have to deal that are part of a good choice you made or a good circumstance you are living in.

I would just delete de second example, I think that watching TV is worst than being on the street. Actually I think being out is something good and to watch TV is something bad, each one as an absolute, not only relative to each other. That's my personal point of view!
