Can somebody please translate these lines? Thanks in advance.
Evliya Çelebi’den parçalar seçerken her şeyden önce Türk kültürü bakımından ehemmiyetli ve Türk gençleri için faydalı olduğuna kanaat getirdiğim parçaları aldım ve bu sevimli seyyah hakkında tam bir fikir vermiş olmak için onun mübalegalı ve bazan da muhayyel olan bölümlerini ihmal etmedim

While choosing parts from EÇ, I took particularly the pieces of which I believe to be of importance from the perspective of turkish culture and which ı believe to be usefull for the turkish youth, and in order to give a whole idea on this loveable traveler, I also didnt neglect hissometimes exegarated or imaginary parts.

Haha, I'd do it, but there're words that I don't understand.

I guess my translation is fine enough, it is only a 'work translation' in a small school essay anyway. Thanks anyway though

Yes, it sounds correct.
Just of one part I'm not sure of,
"to be of importance from the perspective of turkish culture"
"to be of importance "for or with regard to" the turkish culture" might be better, but I'm not very sure in english how "from the perspective" is exactly used.
here "bakımından" is used a bit like "for or with regarding to" in fact, and as far as I know "from the perspective" is rather "according to".
"bakımından" in turkish can be used in many ways in fact, it can also be used in your way.
when we say
"Para bakımından çok sıkıntılıyız"
It means that we have problems about money.

Good translation. A native speaker would understand. But, probably, saying "with respect to" or "concerning" would sound more natural

I agree. "perspective" using describes a viewpoint or opinion , such as "from the perspective of a person making making very little money, reducing wages is bad"
