coping with national service

hello all, my turkish fiance and i have been living together in england for 3 years, and have a gorgeous little girl. however 3 months ago his visa was denied and has been forced to return to turkey to do his national service, has anyone else been through this situation?

it is duty in turkey to go to military...you can not run from it...but if you did marry before you had a babby,
1-he could stay there without problem
2-you would be sure he ll come back to you...

I don't agree with this at all, Turkey's mandatory military service. So it's more important to Turkey that this guy has to return and serve his country of origin, even though he is married with a child living in England.

As far as I know, after working in a foreign country for more than 3 years, you get the option to do military service just for 3 weeks instead of 6 months.
