On our way from Konya to Afyon today we stopped at an otogar. The conductor made an announcement very much like when they tell you how long they are stopping for. İ heard on beş dakkıka so when my husband asked if he had time to go to the loo İ told him we were stopping for 15 minutes.He disappeared off and İ thought it strange that no one else had got off. Then the bus started to back out! İ shouted 'bır dakkıka' bekleyin lütfen!' then had to explain he'd gone off to the loo. After they found him we went on our way. İ then said to him-maybe he said don't get off the bus because we'll be stopping in 15 minutes-sure enough-15 minutes later we pulled into a rest area for half an hour! Doh!
