"Sevilmiş ve kaybetmiş olmak hiç sevilmemiş olmaktan daha iyidir."

How about this;
"Sevilmiş ve kaybetmiş olmak hiç sevilmemiş olmaktan daha iyidir." |
The English refers to the person doing the loving, not being loved.
We could amend yours to:
Sevmek ve kaybetmek, hiç sevmemekten daha iyidir
