Earlier today I was in our local Turkish supermarket looking at olives - *YuMMy* - on a tin I read salamura biberli yeşil zeytin. I understand that salamura yeşil zeytin means "green olives in brine" and I can guess from the picture on the tin that they are stuffed olives......

But I get home and look up biberli and it means "peppered" :-S

In the context of salamura biberli yeşil zeytin does it mean stuffed or does it mean peppered?????

Ah!
I see.......

"Peppered" to me means something with added ground peppercorns - not something with the fruit of the pepper plant!!!

What do you call something with "the fruit of pepper plant"?

I think he is confused because biber can be the spice "pepper", like black or white pepper that you grind in a pepper mill, but also "paprika", the red, yellow or green vegetables.

Bod, tabii zeytin çok ama çok lezzetliydiler, değil mi?

Gotta thank god for olives
