I was reading daily online turkish papers and came a cross this:
Five months in prison for fishing in d'ecollet'e – Sabah
A mother of two, who went fishing in a low-neck dress off Istanbul's Galata Bridge, was sentenced to five months in prison for “impudent behavior,†daily Sabah reported yesterday. Two years ago a court case was opened against Gülcan Köse, 28, for wanting to fish off the Galata Bridge in a low-cut dress. The bridge's security guard, Gökhan Gülbahar, appeared as a witness in court. He testified how Köse had come to the bridge around 11:30 a.m. with her fishing equipment. Gülbahar said, “She had on a nightdress-like, see-through dress and she started fishing. She was constantly exhibiting her body with her actions. However, I did not interfere first because it is not my job.†He said he had warned Köse when others around complained. He added, “She told me that she was a police officer and that I should mind my own business. I called the police and she continued her exhibitionist attitudes until the police came. When they did, it was understood that she was not a police officer.†Upon questioning by the judge, Gülbahar said the attitude of the defendant was “bothersome beyond the attitudes of women that he saw wearing low-neck dresses around Istanbul.†The judge first sentenced Köse to six months in jail for “impudent behavior†but then decreased her sentence to five months due to good conduct during the trial.
what can I add?
