My attempt:
I changed words' order and some words. Because "çünkü" has an ironic meaning. Its real mean is "although= buna rağmen" not "because" in this post.
I think its new edition is "Sen bana doğumgünü pastandan göndermemene rağmen ben sana gönderiyorum."
"I am sending a cake to you although you didn't send your birthday cake to me."

Thank you for explaining about çünkü and rağmen this helps us all. Also I think your translation "holds together" the best. (consistent within itself)
