Dün gece için özür dilerim. Bana dükkana gelme demeden önce gönderdiğin mesajı anlamadım Bugün nasılsın? Umarım başın belaya girmemiştir. Sevgilerimle.

Faruk

Your translation is good, but the English is confusing. As a native speaker I think she means "before" as in some time ago, not the message before the one telling her not to come.

Daha önce gönderdiğin mesajı anlamadım , yani dükkana gelme dediğin olanı.

Hmm, if you say so, that one also possible. Well then let ask her, which one of them she thought.

It is just she says "before when". The when, in colloquial English, works like a comma, or as I translated it "yani".

So, ccrook, the Q is:

Which message was confusing?

A:
The message he sent before the one in which he told you not to come to the restaurant:---- use Faruk´s middle sentence

or

The message in which he told you not to come to the restaurant:---- use my sentence in place of Faruk´s middle sentence

I think she meant she didn´t understand the message he sent earlier, telling her not to come to the shop.(that´s why she went)
