There is a slightly older book "Teach yourself Turkish" by Geoffrey Lewis (Hodder&Stoughton 1989)which I think is very good.

I have been using Rosetta Stone Turkish .. it has helped me a lot. If anyone would like to try it, let me know.

Thank you for asking this question about which books they recommend, i was about to ask that when i saw this thread.

 

I´m glad i have 2 of the books mentioned here, i have " Teach yourself turkish" by David Pollard and "Turkish in three months". I still don´t know if those books are good cuz i have them since yesterday when i decided i was going to start studying turkish by myself, but i´m glad that those books are what you guys have.
