I wrote this small note to someone who is Turkish, but born here and raised in Dutch. He's studying Turkish now too and is the husband of one of my teachers. I would like if someone could correct my small letter and explain to me why i did it wrong. Thanks!

Merhaba bey [name],

Aileyle Istanbul'a ve Izmir'e gitmek istiyorum. Istanbul çok büyüleyici düşÃ¼nürüm. Ne zaman Türkiye'ye gitmek istiyorsunuz?

Yine, belgeler için, çok teşekkürler.

HoşÃ§a kalınız,

Esther

Hello mister [name],

How are you? I'm doing really well. Thank you very much for the papers you sent about the ki-suffix.

Two weeks ago, I went to Turkey. It was really beautiful there. The weather was really sunny, but now it's rainy over there, worse than Holland!

Obviously i was very happy to see Kadir again. Izmir is a very beautiful city. Around every corner there is sea! It's also a lively city, which i really liked! We saw some sights of interest and went often to the sea.

With a ferryboat you can go to the other side of the city. Izmir has two sides: Göztepe (where Kadir lives) and Karsiyaka. They are both beautiful.
With the teleferik there is a beautiful view.

Next summer I will go to Turkey again, hopefully. I want to go to Istanbul and Izmir with family. I think Istanbul is very magical. When do you want to go to Turkey?

Again, thanks for the papers.

Stay well,

Esther

Can someone explain to me the word order of the turkish sentence?

Why is "gönderdiğiniz belgeler" in this order.. and why is the sentence not like this:

Belgeler gönderdiğiniz ki bağlacı hakkında için, çok teşekkür ederim.

First maybe it's better to make the sentence as simple as possible.

In turkish, you thank for something:
(...)için teşekkür ederim.

You simply thank for the documents:
Belgeler için teşekkür ederim.

But which documents? (remember in turkish always the words that describe and specify the word comes before it):
Gönderdiğiniz belgeler için teşekkür teşekkür ederim.

And about what?
Ki bağlacı hakkında gönderdiğiniz belgeler...

Just you have to know that the verbal adjectives like gönderdiğiniz comes just before the noun belgeler.

It's the turkish sentence construction.

I don'T know if it was a successful explanation, but I tried
