Dutch people became more positive about muslims the last couple of years. That´s the conclusion of a survey amoungst 1100 persons by TNS Nipo Institute, an institute that does statistic research. 28% says to be positive regards muslims, one out of 4 is negative. The rest voted neutral. That much more positive than in 2006 when in a same kind of survey 40% said they were negative and only 14% then was positive.
In 2006 61% never met a muslim in person, now that´s only
a third. Two years ago two third of the population feared for a terrorist attack, now that´s reduced to 36%.
Moving away from a neighbourhood with many immigrants (the so-called ´black area´s´ is less popular: two years ago half of the Dutch thought of moving away now it is less than 25%.
