Müsait olmak: to be convenient

It is used for all sorts of things. e.g.

Şimdi müsait mısın?  Are you free at the moment? i.e. Is it convenient for you to talk?  (Note: Turkish friends often say Are you convenient? which, although I know what they mean, is very funny!)

Haftaya müsait mısın?  Are you free next week?

Müsait olmadım: I wasn´t free, I didn´t have the time, I didn´t have the opportunity

Müsait olamadım: I couldn´t ....
