"maşallah maşallah.. yurt dışında napıyosun sen bakiiim"

 

 

My boyfriend is turkish, and his friends keep making comments on this one picture. I´d like to know what they´re saying! haha

Maaşallah is said for something you like, you find nice, for example to a baby, to a nice dress so that it is protected from bad eyes and you show that you dont have any bad intention. When it´s said to a girl by a man, it means that he finds you beautiful.

Surprisingly,I had it said to me when I spoke Turkish in Trabzon!

 Yes, but then it´s not just for beauty. When you do something nicely, well, they say it as well. Forexample, you play piano very well, you sing very well, and you speak turkish, so it´s some king of saying "well done". Though I´m sure they meant it in both ways
