The Metrobus, a new transportation line in İstanbul that integrates with the underground metro and regular city bus systems, doesn’t seem to have made traveling easier for everyone in İstanbul, as it is not yet prepared to handle passengers with disabilities.
The Metrobus line began carrying passengers on its extended line last Monday, decreasing the average travel time between İstanbul’s Avcılar and Zincirlikuyu neighborhoods from two-and-a-half hours to 38 minutes. This recently extended section of the Metrobus still has incomplete stations, which make it very difficult for disabled citizens to travel on the Metrobus line.
