Tonight I have put my military LandRover on eBay.......
I feel sad in many ways - but perhaps not as sad as I feel knowing that she is sitting doing nothing and there is no real prospect for change while I own her.
But much as I like Daisy the Discovery, there is something very special about the totally basic nature of a series LandRover - I have owned many of them over more years than I care to recount and now I feel like it is the end of an era for me owning cart sprung vehicles 
If anyone is mad enough to want to consider owning such a vehicle then check out the eBay listing - but I suspect nobody here is quite as crazy as me!

Couldn't persuade anyone then?? Apparently 60% of the people who live in Norwich, England are registered on Ebay - hows that for a bit of useless information? And Norwich is in the countryside with lots of potential for Landys to cruise the greenlanes ..................... 
My neigbour has one and he has done Africa in his - has a snorkel and the works - flood lights, fridge, air conditioning (when it worked) and an automatic tow rope thingy to get you out of sticky situations when on your own, big tent on top and even rigged up a shower!!

I still have both Erik and Daisy - and both need to be sold to make way for the new Discovery!

I like Land Rovers Bod, but I couldn't afford the gas to put in them. Gas prices are out of this world.

Both Daisy Dote and her replacement are diesels......
Erik is petrol and not very economical 
But both Erik and Daisy have to go to new homes
