I read a word but I couldnt understand it

why we add this to gelmek   

gelmekteyim or gormekteyim?I didnt get it whats teyim ?!!!!

-mekte has roughtly the same meaning as -iyor .

Gelmekteyim: I have been coming.

 More formal,It also shows continuity from past to this moment

 I have been working here for 2 years:   2 yýldýr burada çalýþmaktayým.
